Green thoughts to green knights

We think that if for someone, than for the children it is still worth to tell about the human responsibility related to the nature. Our experiences show that while more and more companies and actors of the business life claim their environment-policy and get dedicated to the corporate social and environmental responsibility, with showing their own positive example, communication solutions targeting directly the children are rare.
In spring 2007 we started a contest for the primary school children of Pécs with the name “Be a knight!” in which frame students could try their theoretical and practical knowledge connected to the environmental protection.
Our primary aim was that students take an active role in several programs (separate waste- collection, green excursion, visiting a National Park, adopting an animal and so on). The content of these programs is related to the respect and preservation of the nature. We hope to strengthen the way of thinking which is aware of the environment.
From 2007 we are continuously organizing excursions, presentations and other events to our little knights - in the name of environmental-awareness. In the autumn-winter events we are organizing programs to promote the environment-friendly thinking to schools which are connected to the Knight-program. In these events, Attila Ladányi- member of the Equestrian Order and zoo educator in the Aquarium- Terrarium at Pécs- has an important role as a lecturer.
